Bright: intelligent  

Responsible: able to be trusted

Decisive: able to make decisions quickly and confidently

Bad-tempered: someone who gets angry and annoyed easily

Imaginative: original / creative

Organised: someone who plans things well

Impatient: wanting something to happen as soon as possible

Practical: realistic in his/her approach to a situation or problem

Confident: showing confidence in oneself

Cautious: careful to avoid dangers

Arrogant: believing that you are better than other people

Dull: boring / slow to understand

a)   To be a pain in the neck = a bother, an annoyance
b)   To have eyes like a hawk = someone who has eyes like a hawk notices everything
c)   To have a big mouth = to be a gossiper
d)   To be a couch potato = a lazy person who is addicted to TV programmes
e)   To be down to earth = realistic, sensible, practical

f)    To be a social butterfly = someone who is very social and easy-going
